Printmaking through play!
This is a super fun process art set up that invites so much artistic play!
I wrote a whole post all about it over on the Guidecraft blog so check that out here! But I'll share the materials and a simple step-by-step below!
Materials:
Easy to clean, flat, loose parts - we used Little Bricks and Little Pavers
Washable paint - ours are from mondo llama
Paint brushes or rollers
Paper cut to size (look for something paint friendly - a little thicker than printer paper)
Process:
1- encourage kids to play with loose parts to create flat designs
2- use paint to cover the tops of loose parts (move quickly so it doesn't dry)
3- place a piece of paper over the paint and press it down smoothly with your hands
4- carefully peel the paper off the top of the loose parts to reveal your print!

The art table my kids are working on here is the Acadia Outdoor Art Table from Guidecraft and we adore it!
