Consultations

I'm Sami! I'm a progressive educator, homeschool mom, and block play expert. I have my masters degree in childhood and early childhood education and over 12 years of experience working in, running, and supporting progressive education classrooms. As a consultant, I specialize in helping parents and educators facilitate learning through play! You can learn more about my work on my instagram.

I offer consultations as a way to use my expertise to help parents and educators facing challenges related to:

  • homeschooling
  • block play
  • progressive education
  • play-based learning
  • emergent curriculum

Together we can:

  • make a plan to support play-based homeschool or classroom work
  • discuss the way your child plays and find ways to support that play
  • brainstorm ways to encourage or extend play with open-ended toys
  • discuss homeschool plans inspired by progressive education, emergent curriculum, or Montessori philosophy
  • or anything else you might want to talk about!

I can even help you choose a block set or help you decide what open ended toys will best support your child (or the children you serve) and then provide explicit advice for how to set up these toys for maximum meaningful play.

How it works

  1. Request a consultation using the form below.
  2. I'll review within 2 business days. If I think I can help, we'll proceed to the next step. If not, I'll try to refer you to a more appropriate resource.
  3. I'll send you an email to schedule our consult (flexible hours available) and a payment request for $65 (paypal & credit cards accepted).
  4. We'll work together via email to set an agenda so we can make the most of our time.
  5. We'll speak at the scheduled time on Zoom. Consults typically last 45 minutes to an hour.
